Cheerful Studio short walk to UHS near Lourdes/BU

Terrible. Not made for a human. Positive: Location was a short drive from Binghamton University Negative: Stuffy, dark, smelly basement. Anything but cheerful. Needless to say poorly furnished, cheep third hand furniture, terribly wrinkled table cloth on a sticky table, not even a hand-soap in the crumbling bathroom. Because it’s a basement they blocked all of natural light with blackout curtains so it’s dark. The place has not been cleaned, bed sheets reek so much so that I had to put a garment over my face at night to screen out the bad odor after the smell woke me up, and then when I was up I was faced with a chubby slug slowly crawling in the bedroom, feeling very much at home. Honestly, I’ve never had it that bad. I couldn’t figure out how to enter at first (they don’t say it’s on the side of the house, since this is a basement entry). Checked in at around 10:00pm. Everything was dark. Had to use my phone’s flashlight to look for a door that wasn’t the main door. Couldn’t find it at first. Called the landlord. Got a message that they are busy and cannot answer the phone. They knew I would be checking in late, but did not make it a point to be available. Once I entered a texted I’m inside and said the smell is terrible. What I got was complete denial (“I was just there yesterday and didn’t smell anything…”). I left the next morning, despite renting for two nights. This was too much for me. I found a proper hotel a bit further out of town (this was Binghamton U move in time, so places were fully booked). It cost less, it was clean and proper. Bottom line - STAY AWAY. If no other choice - SLEEP IN YOUR CAR.

A very quaint and charming place. Very convenient and clean.

The entrance to the location is dark and a steep drive/walkway to enter. Not very well kept on the outside.

Will definitely be staying here again!
